Carioca Avant-Garde Cuisine.

The Restaurant

Led by chef Felipe Bronze, Pipo is a Brazilian restaurant that celebrates fire as its core language. Here, almost everything touches the grill — from seafood to succulent cuts of meat and seasonal vegetables — gaining the unique flavor, texture and aroma of the embers. The result is a thought-provoking menu that blends contemporary technique with comforting memories, while honoring small producers and ingredients from our land.

Our house is divided into two spaces: a leafy, airy and welcoming terrace overlooking MIS and MUBE, and an indoor dining room that is just as cozy. In both, an attentive and precise team guides the experience from beginning to end, with rhythm, warmth and deep knowledge of what arrives at the table.

At Pipo, we want to bring you closer to the crackle of roasting over fire, the embrace of smoke, and the perfect doneness that respects each ingredient. It’s straightforward, vibrant Brazilian cuisine with no shortcuts: quality ingredients, refined technique and heat in just the right measure. Take a seat, breathe in the terrace, watch the grill — and come taste what the embers have to say.

O Chef

Felipe Bronze holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. He is the chef-owner of Oro in Rio de Janeiro (@oro_restaurante), Pipo in São Paulo (@pipo_sp), and Taraz, in partnership with the Rosewood hotel.

Over his twenty-year career as a chef, Bronze has been named “Chef of the Year” five times by Veja Rio magazine and three times by the newspaper O Globo. Oro, his most gastronomic restaurant, was voted “Best Restaurant” in the city and received its first Michelin star in 2013.

In 2017, it earned a second Michelin star, becoming one of only three restaurants in all of Latin America to reach this distinction.

He was also named “One to Watch” by the British magazine The Restaurant, organizer of the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants”, and in 2018 he joined the “Latin America’s 50 Best” list. Pipo SP, his more casual restaurant, opened in 2019 and has already been awarded by Veja São Paulo magazine in the “Best New Opening” category.

With fifteen years in television, Felipe is currently the presenter with the most simultaneous airtime. He began this journey in 2015 with Tá na Época on GNT and was host of the segment O Mago da Cozinha on Fantástico (TV Globo) in 2010. He has also been the host, for six consecutive years, of Que Seja Doce and The Taste Brasil, both on GNT/Grupo Globo. In 2020, he was on air simultaneously with Top Chef Brasil (Record TV), Que Seja Doce and Perto do Fogo (GNT).
